i have asked before about writing death but i want to step things up.
I have an idea for a series that will involve blood and gore. It won’t be random and it will be integral to the story. Would I be allowed to write something like this. it will be tasteful.
Anything that involves death, violence, body wounds or blood is disallowed by site rules.
i know death (not linked to sex) is allowed because i have written a story like that before and have read a few mods work like that. i was talking about the death and maybe some gore as a means to prolong the story.
you can have a battle with blood and gore and then a nurse cleaning the soldiers wounds that has led to sex. i dont see a problem with that.
anyway my idea has been scrapped for now.
As for as violence, blood, and gore. The blood and gore isn't going to be approved. The violence must be somewhat tame or generalized.
It's like this: Quentin Tarantino style violence, blood, and gore is a no no. But old John Wayne black and white movie style violence is probably going to be okay. As long as the violence, death, etc. is not part of the sex, and it should be important to the story line, not just thrown in there for shock and awe.
Remember this is Lushstories... love and sex. And love and sex makes for some great literature.
Yah...I just don't like the "gore" part of the "I want to write blood and gore" part of the phrasing. I just don't see how you could work death and blood and "gore" into an erotic story. Perhaps I just lack imagination.
Also? Even if you were thinking along the lines of a nurse with a patient...yah. Florence Nightingale Syndrome really isn't a thing. Maybe talk to an actual nurse before going there.

In my professional career as a diagnostic virologist my only physical contact with my patients was with their body fluids — blood, faeces, mucus, saliva and urine (technically blood and gore are the same) — and swabs taken from various orifices. These were perfect for finding out what infectious disease they had since we carry viruses in our blood and excrete them from those same orifices. To prevent myself or my staff from becoming infected themselves, everyone would have been taught a proper aseptic technique. Similarly the doctors, nurses and phlebotomists who took the specimens would have also acted in the same highly professional manner - breaches of this professional code is not only unethical but can also put patients' lives at risk by increasing the risk of cross infection.
I could give you examples where deliberate breaches of this professional code of conduct has had catastrophic consequences. It hard enough to prevent accidental transmission of infections, but to wilfully transgress the patient/carer relationship is unforgivable and should be punished by dismissal at the very least.
Things that probably should not be made into porn:
The Walking Dead
Schindler's List
March of the Penguins
Post-avant-retro-demelodicized-electro-yodel-core is my jam.
I wrote a story where a Lilith monster/entity blew people up. From the inside out. It was an awesome story.
i would like to revive this post.
i recently wrote a story. no blood, no gore, just a death at the end, pretty integral to the story.
so i'm asking once again to all mods out there. am i allowed to write a story where a character dies/gets killed, but the death is not part of the sex.
have the rules changes since the last time this discussion has been talked about? or has it remained the same?
my story has been rejected on the basis od the death, but the od has been very good and they are ow reviewing the rules to see if it allowed.
Hi Sean.
If you look at our terms and conditions, you'll see that what we disallow are stories which are the equivalent of a snuff movie.
Where a death is part of a plot, that's absolutely fine.
