Need help posting story.

I'm trying to publish my first story to the site, but am having difficultly copying and pasting my work into the submission box.

When I click "paste" I get a box pop up with this message:

Because of your browser security settings, the editor is not able to access your clipboard data directly. You are required to paste it again in this window.
Please paste inside the following box using the keyboard (Ctrl/Cmd+V) and hit OK

I paste my story into the box and click "OK" yet my work still does not paste into the submission box.

I would be grateful for any help. It's probably just something obvious I'm not doing, but this is my first submission to the site.

What web browser are you using? Can't say I've heard of this happening before.

I wonder if it might have something to do with browsing in some kind of incognito porn mode?

My usual fixes are clearing my cache, restarting browser, and if necessary browsing in "normal" mode. But "private" mode in safari works fine for pasting into the submission pane.

Thanks for your reply. I'm using the Opera web browser.

I do tend to surf in private mode, as Oceanrunner quite rightly surmised. I also have security extensions installed within the browser which may also be causing problems. I'll try tweaking my security settings ever so slightly, see if that helps. I'll also try using normal mode, as Oceanrunner suggested. I'll get back to you once I've experimented.

I got to the bottom of it, at last. The message was telling me to use ctrl+v to paste into pop-up box. I used ctrl+v directly with the submission box and my story pasted at last.

Strange, but at least it's sorted now. I'll get my story uploaded now.
