I do not know if some of you, have the same trouble as I do sometimes. I do find it easier telling a story from anything else like, describing what's happening in the story, what the character is thinking that sort of thing. But, when it does come time for doing a pleasure scene or doing sex or intimate scene I usually freeze up or mess it up. I try to be particular as I can. Just so I'll know what some mods would look for in a sex scene? I'm asking these I am still a Rookie writer. I don't think anything is wrong with asking these questions, is it? Like it is easier doing sex part when you are playing with someone on here in black box chat or private chat. You don't have to worry too much. But when I do a sex scene in a story you have to be very careful and delicate with it.

( p.s I'm not being very particular right now with my grammar, so I hope some of you know what I'm asking or saying.)

Funnily enough, there's another thread here where I asked the opposite. I find the sex usually comes fairly easily, but I'm not into writing (or reading for that matter) "stroke stories". I want some actual story, or at least some sense of who those involved are, along with my hot sloppy. And that's the part I find myself labouring over; trying to take the fantasy and make sense of the people, who they are and why they are getting naked with each other. In fact, I sometimes have the basic sex scenario in my head from some fantasy or other I've had and am building that up into a story. That's not always the case, of course (and I think it is becoming less and less the case as I advance my writing "career"). My comp entry (see sig) and the story I'm working on right now are both cases where I had a story and two characters and then had to work through what happens when they start "bumping uglies".

Why don't you try writing a story where the sex scene involves two (or more) people chatting and use the skills that you're happy with to tell the story? I've done the same in a couple of my stories.

I agree with seeker. When I'm writing, the sex is pretty much secondary to the erotic tension that I can build up before hand. That's my main focus. For me, writing the actual sex scene isn't my strength. Some writers here are very inventive when it comes to writing about people fucking, but I'm pretty vanilla in what I like, and so the sex in my stories is all pretty much the same. The characters change (maybe with the addition of one or two extras) but the basics are still the basics (oral sex (for both parties) -> Penetration (through two or three positions) -> climax). Everything I've written is basically a variation on that pattern (with some occasional detours for the sake of adventure) - Which I guess can get pretty boring after awhile if the only thing you're reading in my stories is the sex scene. Of course, hard core porn can also get boring and repetitive if you watch enough of it (Don't believe me? Try a three-hour binge of pornhub).

But like I said, my focus is more on telling a good story, and I think the real excitement of that comes from building up the erotic tension and suspense, giving the characters some kind of challenge to overcome before they just screw each others' brains out. In my not-so-humble opinion, I think I'm not too bad at doing that, and I'm confident that if I can tell a good erotic story, it will carry my readers through the most mundane or skeletal sex scene. In fact, one of the most successful stories I've published here was pretty much entirely foreplay, and ended before I really got into a detailed sex scene. We (okay, well, I assume most of us) have at least some sexual experience that would allow us to fill in the blanks for ourselves, therefore, I didn't see much need to spell it all out.

As for the mods, I don't think they're particularly looking for anything in a story in terms of literary or erotic quality. From what I can tell, their main objective is to make sure the stories don't involve any , children, or animals, and that the conventions of spelling and grammar are loosely adhered to (in other words, that stories meet the site guidelines). Apart from that, I think whatever you choose to write is more or less fair game, and then the readers will score, comment, or ignore your story as they see fit.

Post-avant-retro-demelodicized-electro-yodel-core is my jam.

Most of the time I don't have any issues. Sometimes the entire story starts with the concept of the sex dynamic.

But sometimes - like when I'm working on a longer novel with a non-sex plot concept taking place - I struggle. It's so annoying and, if I'm stupid about it, I'll put off the difficult sex scenes for later which only means I end up with a bunch of difficult scenes to write in the end.

What to look for depends on your story dynamic and why you're writing, I suppose. Erotica is easy for me to write because it comes from my sex interest and 9 times out of 10, I'm turned on when I write it. It flows easily - very easily. But when I write a novel I'm not turned on by any of that content... it's a lengthier and more complex writing process. I have to GET myself into their sex life and well - that's just very hard to do.

It completely depends on the story, and how connected to the characters I am. I hate it when the words don't just flow, I'm always worried those that someone will thing "well, she's used that same scenario so many times," etc....yeah, I sometimes find it very difficult

I have three famous stories, 2 recommended reads and have come in the top ten in two competitions~ Come in and make yourself at home.

My advice is that you think about sex you have had, then multiply it by ten and write it down.

personally what I find the hardest is the transaction from the story into the sex part. It has to flow naturally and not repeat itself from one story to another.
