I'm at the end of chapter three of a story and at that point I'm changing the perspective form one "first person" to a different "first person" and then back again. I was just wondering if this transition works without confusing the reader. Here is the initial transition and the return:

Start:

By the time we got back to the house Lisa had left. We all sat down for lunch. That's when Maggie decided to tell us a little story about what happened after we went to bed.

“I waited until you and Jolene were asleep or at least your door was closed. Then I went to Lisa's room. She was topless and feeling no pain. Dressed only in her panties getting ready for bed. She was about to go brush her teeth when I slipping though the partially open door.”

Return:

"I took the card and told her thank you once more. We hugged again and I headed off to bed."

Jolene and I sat there silently as Maggie finished her story taking it all in.

Thoughts or questions greatly appreciated.
