Lost

Speak and be Heard
I hide in Shame,
the Death of Desire,
and I am to Blame.

A Voice is Silenced,
It's Death screams out,
my world torn apart,
Left in Doubt.

Hope and Despair
war from Within,
When will it finish,
Where does it Begin.

Acceptance and Love
could have been mine,
If I hadn't been Lost,
in a Place out of Time.

Want to say two things:
1. This is an wonderful poem that imho deserves a spot on the homepage. Publish it!
2. I find your promise, this will be your last one, a bit disturbing. I hope that I'm reading that wrong.
A little kindness can be so valuable, yet costs almost nothing

In many countries being gay is a crime, and even in modern societies, politicians try to legalise discrimination. Your voice can make a difference. Have a look at All Out to find out how.

I obviously failed to notice your previous posts, I guess that answers my second remark. The first one however stands and it applies to your previous poems as well.

best thing for you (and other new writers) is to submit your work.

you may not get many responses until you become more familiar to others who read .... but submitting your work for publishing is the best place to put your work and have feedback by votes and comments.

work hard at your craft. re-read what you've written. edit it. re-word what you don't like. submit it when you feel you can't make it any better.

good luck,

Van

I am breaking my promise, I need the advice of fellow lushy ones. This poem is poking fun, and I hope it will garner some laughs and giggles.

Advice welcome, thats why its visiting here before it heads out to be read by any and everyone.

Boys need not Apply

A woman walks into a bar
Tight jeans, snug low-cut shirt high-heeled boots
Long loose flowing red hair, and an Attitude.

She step into the center of the room-

“Good evening Boys” Mommas her to play
Real men only need apply
And with that, Chaos ensued
With a loud piercing whistle-

Come on Boys, I said Men!

If you need me to spank you
And teach you to please
You are not ready for me
Get back in line- Next Please!

Let me make this easy,
I will tell you what I need.

I want a man to hold me
But understands when I say no
He needs to be confident
And knows how to take it slow
But when I am feeling frisky
Understands how far to go

He has to know himself
Can tell me what he wants
And if not in the mood just then
Be man enough to wait for me,
Knowing I will make it up to him.

So, now as I think about it
Taking a look around this room,

There is not one of you
Could step up to the plate.
Me, myself, and I
We’ll be headed out the gate.
