Some days the clouds eat the sun, the fear eats your smile
took a boat out on the bay, sailed for many a mile
seagull landed on the rail, and i'm sure i head him say
"massive blue whales nearly ram sailboat in Santa Monica Bay"
Took the ferry out to the sound, folded up a paper tiger
tossed it overboard, just to watch it float upon the water
heard a sound, sea otter laughing, the sun was in my eye
massive blue whales nearly ram sailboat in Santa Monica bay
Found a jar full of beads, crimson red and made of glass
reminded me of a boy from a childhood long past
When all is said, and all is done, not much to really say
massive blue whales nearly ram sailboat in Santa Monica Bay
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.
I feel so daft doing this. I've never written a poem before, but my friend Sprite has inspired me to be brave.
This is an allegorical poem about my struggle to establish a relationship.
Should the boat shake, rock and sway
For the waves are fierce, in disarray
Fear not, my friend, we'll find our way
When blue whales ram sailboat in Santa Monica Bay
Just once more into the fray
For today is murky, dark and grey
We either live or die on this day
When blue whales ram sailboat in Santa Monica Bay
The end is nigh, for time does weigh
Everytime I hear you say
It's me not you, I cannot stay
When blue whales sink sailboat in Santa Monica Bay
Dykes.
(They may as well speak Greek.)

Liz: "I'm amazed you lasted four minutes..."
Me: "Fuck You, Jaffa Cake."
Bury me with calamine lotion
and grant me rule of thumb
to shy away from three inch nails
that which button down my hatch
six feet deep in need of scratch
