I think you would already need to have an open and honest relationship. That's not an easy subject to broach. It might be better to post the question as a hypothetical or ask if there is anyone your partner has fantasized about that is in your circle of friends before diving right in with the request. Get a feeling for their thoughts and feelings on the matter before blindsiding them.
