this isn't very good. i didn't spend very much time on it. i needed to write it, though. it doesn't really have a place on the front page, it's not a Love Poem, just some random thoughts. thank you DD for inspiration. i hope i can repay you some day.

Gotten past the peanuts and the curry on your breath
Maybe made an exception for the scratchiness of your beard

If you’d asked to buy me a drink I might have thought it over
Although I might have spent the evening talking about my lover
But maybe we could have been friends, one can never know

If you’d asked to walk with me I might have said all right
I’d parked out behind the bank again, under the only working light
And after all, it was very late, and there are monsters in the night

I am super girl (I’m going to have it tattooed on my wrist
Or perhaps across my fingers, so that when I make twin fists
There will be no doubt at all about who or what I am)
