I honestly think that what we watch on TV says a lot about our personalities (I know, some people don't watch TV). So, I want to know: what are your fave shows, past and present?

I'll start (not necessarily in order):

Arrested Development (probably the funniest show I've seen....EVER)
Quantum Leap
Benny Hill
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Kids In The Hall
Little Britain
Twilight Zone
Twin Peaks (season 1)
The X-files (season 1 and 2)
Reno 911 (especially the first few seasons)
Dr. Who (both runs)
Hitchcock Presents
The Tick (not the animated one, the one with Patrick Warburton)
Archer
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
The League
Psych
The Walking Dead (Shane is sexy as a muther...)
Greg the Bunny (IFC)
The First 48
Seasons 1-12 of South Park (probably one of the best commentaries against the idiocy of modern society I can recall)
Mystery Science Theater 3000

I know I am forgetting some, especially British shows (I have a Brit's sense of humor).

Okay, your turns!

Cooking programmes
Nature programmes/documentaries
Those shows where a camera follows round police on patrol, or the ambulance service
Friends
Big Bang Theory
Sex and the City
Lost
Bad Girls
QI
Mock The Week
Russell Howards Good News
Family Guy
American Dad

Want to see: The Walking Dead and Two Broke Girls (saw the first episode, liked it)

Thats all i can think of for now, dont watch any soaps cos i hate the fact that they're on everyday and if you have a life and miss one, you're screwed. Also HATE reality shows: Big Brother, TOWIE, Jersey Shore type programmes, The Apprentice/Dragons Den (bleh!)

In no particular order, because it's too fucking hard to choose:

Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Kingdom Hospital
Grey's Anatomy
Californication
Twin Peaks
American Gothic (though I was VERY disappointed with the ending)
Pinky & The Brain
Highlander: the series (only seen a few episodes, but soon as I've got enough cash I'll get it on DVD)
Holby City (though at the moment it's crap)
House
Angel
Wildlife programmes, especially those narrated by David Attenborough (though sometimes I fall asleep, that dude has a relaxing voice) or filmed by Gordon Buchannan

I could name loads more, but I'll stop here.

Seconding this. Damn. Anyone remember Kid Video? Wow. I was such a cartoon geek. Nowadays, Archer is the only cartoon I watch. No, I take that back. South Park, seasons 1-12 are incredible. I fucking LOVED that show.

I do not watch so-called "reality" shows, mostly becasue they are not real. An element of unreality in inherrent in the process of filming.

Ahhhh...a man to argue against empirical observational research! (Not that "reality shows" are in any way truly empirical, actually).

You forgot to add that they also mostly suck lol. And WTF is a snookie anyhow? I saw one on South Park once and couldn't sleep for days.
