I just use pics I find on the web that I like. Usually they are sexual but not always. Come to think of it, I havent changed mine in a while. Think its time!
I just choose mine off the web, too. I like nature shots, so my current background is a pretty scene with a beautiful sky.

I usually make mine, unless it's a background with photos.
Mines is a Google Image Search picture of the Lorenz Attractor, because I'm a maths geek.
I collect photos and photoshop them together.
I like to use photos I take or images from the net that interest me...
Such as country landscapes or old castles...
Well I decided to complicate my life by Googling a bunch of random things that make me happy, and made sort of a digital patchwork quilt. I did it so long ago that I don't even remember how I did it, or if I could ever do it again for that matter. It looks pretty cool when it's tiled, but ridiculous as one big background image.

it's a picture I took myself.
I made the pattern by creating an single tile in illustrator, which when done like a pattern fill, joins up seamlessly when you tile it.
