Two of my Faves...... (And both from writers I really admire......) Both For 'Bride Unveiled'.......

(1) I love this.. I have a thing for wedding dresses.. never worn one myself! Great story.. all the emotions in there too, and you know how I love the emotions.. xxx

(2) I have a weakness for dirty bride stories... this one was delicious.

I especially love it when writers I think are better then me rate my stuff!!!!!!

Do YOU have any comments which particularly delighted You????

Some of my favorite comments for my stories, in no particular order, are:

This one made me giggle
Brutal (back in the 1980s) meant - WOW...that's fucking awesome!

Practice saying it in your lowest toned voice...

Bruuuuuutal...

(Received by mail for "How Far Can Angel Fall")
~~~~~~~~~~~
The first line made my knees go weak! You wrote one wonderful piece for your first try here! Great job. Sexy!
(A comment for "My Affair")
~~~~~~~~~~~
WOW! Slap me and wake me up! A very well written intense sexual tale!

(A comment for "How Far Can Angel Fall")
~~~~~~~~~~~
Powerful, and full of emotion, you surprised me after the opening scene.....and im glad i kept reading.
(A comment for "How Far Can Angel Fall")
~~~~~~~~~~~
You're such a tease, Angel, that you just couldn't resist teasing us all with the anticipation of a part 2. Nice job.

(A comment for "To Tease Or Not To Tease")

Comments from writers I admire always make my day...
It gives me validation that I'm not a complete noob
I find it gives me the motivation to write more smile

I actually have two:

The first one:

"I went back and read the other three parts first. I scored each of them individually, but this comment serves for the series thus far (okay, I'm a little lazy).

I enjoyed this story! You use metaphors and have detailed descriptions. You take your time building the story up to the action. One comment said it was "nothing special." The basic storyline is perhaps found on LS in numerous iterations, but the manner in which it is presented makes all the difference, and that is what set it apart from others. Good series. I'll have to read your other works."

The second one (also was the craziest/weirdest comment which I posted in that board- but still this one is a favorite:"

"You are a vagina thesaurus!"
"So don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
Don't lie to me,
Just get your things.
I've made up your mind."

I think the best comment I ever got...well, really the most flattering was over on Writing.com, and I think I can mention that site, it's not really any competition to Lush...this was about a week before I joined Lush btw...it was the first time any of my writing got any outside "acknowledgement"...and it was weeks before the same story got an Editor Pick here on Lush...

Anyway...SoCalScribe is a professional Hollywood screenwriter btw...

Great story, Exakta66 . I really enjoyed reading this item and thought you did a good job with both the characters and the storyline. I would be a pleasure to feature this item in this week's issue of the "Unofficial Erotica Newsletter Group" 's weekly newsletter.

Keep up the good work and keep writing!

Best regards,

I've gotten so many really humbling and wonderful comments, letters, and feedback. It's actually hard to just pick one... so I'll pick two (for different reasons).

1. This first is one that really stands out because it's kind of like the perfect tagline for my Sex Rehab series:

"This entire series has been unmitigated filth dressed up in clever writing and fine plotting." (a comment on The Sex Rehab Diaries: Stacey's Confession)

2. And this second piece of feedback was just so complex and well thought out. I think it's kind of a writer's dream to have a reader be able to articulate this level of impact, and know that they totally 'got it' (ie. all the subtleties of the story).

"Dense and throbbing with erotic, psychological turmoil! There are a lot of stirring sensual images in this story: not only sights but smells and sounds. The party has a kind of cinematic immediacy, taking us along with Rachel's sensual disorientation in the cage and into the flood of sensations that envelop her throughout the party.

At another level, the psychological interest of the story is high, particularly because, on two fronts, it breaks with some of the fantasy conventions of the genre: first, that someone at the party 'cheats' and videos her, exposing her to public shaming; and second, that despite her independent spirit, she hasn't managed to avoid winding up here at her parents' direction (tho, as is hinted, this plan will backfire!).

The conflict between her rich self-awareness and immersion in sensual escapism vs her parents' conviction of what's best and her 'true self' makes itself realistically felt, without harming the erotic impact." (a comment on The Sex Rehab Diaries: Rachel's Confession).

Both of those comments are from fabulously talented Lush authors that I greatly admire.

Oh... and I did get a great email that I won't post here from a professor of a college that teaches psychology and human sexuality asking permission to be able to use my stories for a semester as assigned reading to generate class discussion. That was pretty cool. And yes, I did check it all out, it was totally legit. Wish I could have been a fly on the wall in those classes though. smile

My two favorite comments on The Secret Life of Bellingham Sam are these:

~ From Gypsymoth: "...I love it; you hit just the right note of humour, satire, affection and genuine understanding of what is erotic. Sex and human relationships are funny. You've nailed it."

~ From servin9: "Unlike anything I've read before in its structure. A gripping tale that flows so effortlessly. Very Well Done. Wish I could give it a higher score. 5+++++"

Thanks for responding, Guys n Dolls...... Perhaps people might post some more.... I get a genuine boost when people seem to get the stuff...

As for ""This entire series has been unmitigated filth dressed up in clever writing and fine plotting." (a comment on The Sex Rehab Diaries: Stacey's Confession, by Dancing Doll)"

I have a few to share:

Okay, who the hell gave you a 3 for this? Very hot...I love stories about longtime friends that become lovers, it just makes it that much more special! Great job! (How Quiet Can You Be?)
Love it when I inspire indigence on my behalf!

~~~~~
Funniest comment:
MOW simply brilliant!! You are so very talented, you build the tension superbly!
If Carlsberg did muisc festivals then this is certainly one I would be at. Wonder if Kez and Ella will have more stories to tell lol xx
(Festival Fever)
~~~~~

You had me at “No. Make me!”. The Domina in me grabbed her crop. Well done. (Bad Girl)

~~~~~
Now that's how you leave a job. I just gave the Bosses the finger n thru some SHIT. Great story loved it (Last Day Send Off)
Was that actual shit do you think?
~~~~~

Is it weird that I want an Xbox online account now? I never thought I'd hear myself say those words! Fabulous story MOW... I can't wait for part 2!!! (Like an Actual Girl pt1)
Watch out, my stories may cause you to behave out of character, lol.

~~~~~
Ahh the stacks... Flashback! Good read. (Secret Sex in the Stacks)
~~~~~

BEST comment:
Sweet and naughty, with a touch of humour. Loved every tantalizing second. I really liked Ellie's character - the complexity was very realistic; I felt she was balancing between her inner and outer worlds - showing the expected restraint and trepidation but also being experienced with her own inner knowledge of her body and fantasies. (Might as well go there in style)

~~~~~~
I also think some of the best comments I've ever received were for "What are Friends for?" which dealt with a young woman offering a blowjob to an older, married man who had never had oral sex. It seemed to touch a lot of people.
That's very flattering Doll...I'm sure it felt good to get that note...always flattering when someone chooses to use words you've written for whatever purpose...
I don't think any of my stories have been used in a classroom setting...at least not as a good example anyway...
And your mention of the perfect tag line reminded me that the tag line I use for my story "My Best Friend's Girl (She used to be mine)"...the tag line I use now being "Public sex with an ex"....that tag line came from an early comment someone left on the story...
So, comments can be useful as well...
Clum! I was quite pleased to see that you took time away from hammer throwing, telephone pole tossing, eating haggis, lopping off English heads with claymores and all those other things you wild Scots are famous for and sat down and wrote another story!! haha And an excellent story it is indeed. You write with a thorough command of the English language. Your story builds up to an authentic erotic sensuousness. You should consider becoming a novelist. 5+
Wow, that was brilliant!! You've got an excellent style developing and I agree with Buz (not about the ridiculous Scottish stereotypes of course, Grr) But yes, you should be thinking about writing professionally... Loved it and really looking forward to reading the next installment. (hope I don't have to wait too long!) xxx
Doll's comments are always just amazing. i swear, she needs to give a class on how to write comments, they're almost as good as her stories... well... they're good, anyway, and always inspire me. smile
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.
One of my earliest, when I was still exclusively on the nifty archive (because that's all I knew);
"Miss Finnegan,
I've just finished reading your story and am speechless and breathless. You transported me through every moment of Kate's growing up and her amazing encounter with Jenny. I don't remember when i read a more convincing story than you created trough your eloquent words and pictures. I felt just as bewildered as you described Kate's reaction to Jenny's changed reactions, saved by your wise delay on her departure and Jenny's bringing her mug out to the car. I lived her relief over the numbers Jenny had placed on the lid of her drink, and now i eagerly await the continuation of this beautifully written story. Thank you for chapter 1a and hope there will be many more to follow.
Sincerely yours,"
I'm not sure if English was her 1st language, but her words moved me: it's kind of why I'm still writing.
The funniest comment I ever got was from a guy who said my story was so good he had to stop and pull over while reading it. Who reads erotica while driving? I hope he was at least in a traffic jam and not on an offramp.
I just received this one from Gypsymoth, who is no mean writer in her own right. SHe was commenting on my latest series, Charlie-Charlene.
I loved it, D! Your writing gets better and better and this one just crackles, it is so crisp! Your sense of humour is delicious, too. Excellent work. Thank you.
I am wearing a huge grin. If it were any wider, I'd hurt my ears.
I find it flattering, but overwhelming, when people tell me they want me to continue my Teacher's Pet series. I'm told pretty often it was a good story and I should write another chapter. But yeah.. people asking for more is the best compliment.
The best comment I ever received was on a story called "Only For One Night". The commentor said that they felt a tremendous amount of guilt for having read such a good story for free. She/he said that I should definitely be getting paid for what I do. That meant the world to me.
The best comment I've received is from Magnificent1rascal, on my new story:
This is quite possibly the best story I have read on Lush. A beautiful, haunting, sensuous love story, it is, in a word, magnificent.
A link to the story is in my sig.
My best comment was from CamancheBill- "You are writing one of the most beautiful erotic stories I have ever read.I can't wait now for the next installment- when you describe the actual mating of these two people who love each other.You do describe it up to now in terms so beautifully written, This is a 5.0 for sure". I was really pleased with that!
My favorite comment is from Sprite on Penny Gets Punished:
*blushes* it's rare that i have trouble getting to the end of a story, not because it's not good, but because it's TOO good... this is the second time it's happened with one of yours, tho.
"I burn't my bloody dinner Milik!"
This from a poster who read my story "the survivor"
Sadly he closed his account and the response was deleted.
For me though knowing I was able to draw a reader in and maybe even excited them enough to orgasm is a heady feeling. The thought that my words alone were enough to cause a reader, especially a woman to get off...
That is what makes writing worth the effort
This comment on my poem Fragmented, Too was quite humbling because the commenter saw so much more in the piece than I did:
~ From the perspicacious, incomparable internet sensation, Ms. Catnip: "This is a poem that would fit very well in a paperback, lying on the night stand. Once in a while it'd be read and remind the people out there what it's all about. I can fit this poem not only to a relationship between two, but the humanity itself."
Wow. She got all that out of 50 little words. I am honored.
This comment means a lot to me because firstly, I love the commenter's stories. She's amazing.
Secondly, she put a lot of thought into the comment and it shows.
There is an attention to detail in this story that I feel many stories in general are sadly lacking (and this extends far beyond this forum, but rather fanfiction general). Neverminding that the piece in itself is extremely arousing, the sensory details mixed with that eroticism do well to not only excite the mind, but enrapture it in the world created. I'd imagine it would be difficult to make the act of reading something, even if it is from a particularly lascivious vixen, to be inherently erotic through text, yet this not only captured that feeling but exceeding the expectations by drawing out Anjasa's sexual nature.
Of course, I could just be a tad bit biased on that part, but that's the magic of it.
No sooner is the reader pulled into that erotic tale (we've not got a delectable elf reading a dirty story) than does that intermission arrive, and then we get to see the next "act" in the story, whose progression is nothing short of fulfilling. I believe that, in all honesty, anything less than the he showed her in that moment would have detracted from the scene. That he would play to her feminine sensuality and rather than insert a masculine "wham bam", instead address her through cunnilingus is a touch that perfectly punctuated the steadily rising notes of eroticism that dripped from the passage until its inevitable and well-deserved climax.
I dare say that after that kind of show, the audience would be not only eager to hear chapter three, but to see just where their little show went from there.
Overall? I'm delighted that I read this. It's definitely nice mind candy to keep in store, if ever I've seen any. I'd say the strength of the piece is that it's a story that while obviously smutty, is nevertheless comprehensive enough to stand on its own as a tale. We see the beginning, enjoy the middle, and anticipate the climax. It's a finished work -- a completed piece.
Bravo, I say. Bravo.
