What do you look for in a story?
Good writing?
Great decripyions?
The sexy parts?
Or what-all?

The first thing I look for in a story is the writing. I do not want it to be very simple, but I do not want it to be very complex either. I want the writing to be well-written and very enjoyable enough to hold my attention.

If it is boring in the very first few sentences with no structure, then I will just move on.

Great descriptions also are a plus. Being very descriptive can be just as effective as being well-written.

As long as it is well-written with great descriptions, the romance, love, sexy parts and erotica will all fall into place.

"So don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
Don't lie to me,
Just get your things.
I've made up your mind."

It has to capture my attention straight away or i instantly loose interest,or if it dosnt seem believable then i start to skip what im reading, too much dialogue is also a major negative.

A good story for me draws me in from the start. The characters have to be believable. I like a good story, not just written porn. As a writer, if I feel inspired to become a better writer after reading someone’s story, then in my book they are a good writer and have written a great story. I like well written description, that are not to repetitive and that gets me hot and bothered, after all that’s why we come and read the stories on lush ;-)

I like things that are realistically bazaar. Something that's obviously far-fetched but still has small elements of reality that makes it believable like real feelings and things of that nature. And description is key for me. I hate reading erotica that I feel like I've read a million times over in some form or another. I understand from experience how difficult it can be to write in the genre of erotic literature because there's little that hasn't already been fantasized. I don't mind reading about the same experiences as long as they're described in a way I've never seen or imagined.

I'm here for a good time, not a long time.

A down-to-earth realism is what I enjoy the most, particularly from stories in the incest category which usually don't sound believable to me.

I love dialogue that sounds like words people would say and is easy on the ear.

Of course, effortless prose and wordplay are a pleasure to read but I understand how difficult it is to construct interesting sentences so I'm lenient if solid realism makes up for it. (personally just about every sentence I write takes too much effort.)

A sense of humor, especially in the incest category, is appreciated. It usually humanizes the characters.

Good description is nice. I greatly admire writers who have the talent to describe sex in interesting ways. Personally I find writing sex acts to be tedious and difficult and it's my least favorite thing to do. I prefer the build up, which is why my stories are way too long. I have quite a few build ups written on my hard drive that all abruptly stop right at the beginnings of sex.

Good writing, good dialogue, and great descriptions...not just sex.
